Itinerary
DAY 1: Ivato Airport / Antananarivo
- Meeting at Ivato Airport (depending on flight schedule).
- Transfer to the hotel.
- Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 2: Antananarivo / Antsirabe
- In the morning after breakfast, enjoy a historic tour of the upper town of Antananarivo (the capital of Madagascar) and its Queen's Palace.
- Departure for the Vakinankaratra region, where the green and red landscapes blend together.
- Lunch en route.
- Arrival in Antsirabe in the late afternoon.
- Dinner and overnight stay at the Plumeria Hotel.
DAY 3: Antsirabe / Ambositra – Ranomafana
- Visit the city of Antsirabe: the semi-precious stone market and craft workshops. Continue to the city of Ambositra, the capital of Malagasy crafts and gateway to Betsileo country. Visit sculpture and marquetry workshops and shops.
- Lunch at the Oasis Restaurant.
- Continue the drive to Ranomafana, named after a ferruginous hot spring surrounded by mountain ranges.
- Dinner and overnight stay at the Grenat Hotel.
DAY 4: Ranomafana / Fianarantsoa / Ambalavao
- Transfer to Fianarantsoa. A town in the highlands of Madagascar, Fianarantsoa stretches over three levels, a veritable crossroads. With its traditional houses, numerous churches, and wine culture, many visits are available. In addition to its cultural and religious aspects, the town is also known for its gastronomy. It boasts numerous vineyards (Isandra and Famoriana), the tea plantations of Sahambavy, and the cheeses of Ivoamba. A trip to the gateway to the southern region of Madagascar that you won't soon forget.
- Lunch at Le Panda restaurant.
- Transfer by car to Ambalavao, renowned for the production of Antemoro paper.
- Dinner and overnight stay at the Tropic Hotel.
DAY 5: Ambalavao / Isalo
- Departure by car towards Isalo.
- En route, visit Anja Park, a reserve of about ten hectares, home to ring-tailed lemurs.
- Lunch at a restaurant en route.
- Continue by car to the Bara region.
- Arrival in Isalo in the afternoon.
- Dinner and overnight stay at the Isalo Ranch Hotel.
DAY 6: Isalo
- Spanning an area of 81,540 hectares, Isalo National Park offers a diverse range of flora and fauna. Visit the park's canyons and ridges, the Nymphs' Waterfall, and natural pools such as the Blue Pool and the Black Pool.
- Picnic lunch
- In the late afternoon, visit the Isalo Window to watch the sunset over the massif.
- Dinner and overnight stay at the Isalo Ranch Hotel
Day 7 : Isalo / Ifaty
- Departure for Tulear, the City of the Sun, home to the Antandroy and Mahafaly ethnic groups, two of the largest in southern Madagascar.
- Cross the town of Ilakaka with its sapphire mines. Before arriving in Tulear, visit the arboretum, which houses the typical flora of the south as well as many medicinal plants endemic to Madagascar.
- Lunch at the Corto Maltese restaurant.
- Early afternoon: transfer to Ifaty.
- Dinner and overnight stay at the Nautilus Club.
Day 8 : Ifaty
- Located 25 km from Tulear, Ifaty is a seaside resort renowned for diving. Relaxation and swimming are also available.
- Lunch at the Belle View restaurant.
- Dinner and overnight stay at the Nautilus Club.
DAY 9: Ifaty / Mangily (Reniala reserve) / Ifaty
- Car transfer to RENIALA, a private reserve located near the sea, in the baobab forest of southwestern Madagascar, just outside the village of Mangily Ifaty. The reserve covers an area of 60 hectares. This area boasts exceptional flora and fauna, with over 1,000 endemic plant species with remarkable xerophytic adaptations (to a dry climate), numerous endemic birds including Uratelornis and Monias, and reptiles: turtles (Astrochelys, Pyxis), lizards, snakes, mouse lemurs, and more. To participate in community and solidarity tourism, you can also learn about the work of the Lemur Rescue Center set up by the NGO Reniala in partnership with the reserve and other stakeholders.
- Picnic lunch. Return to Ifaty in the afternoon
- Dinner at the Ifaty Beach Club restaurant and overnight stay at the Nautilus Club.
Day 10 : Ifaty / Antananarivo
- Transfer to Tulear Airport (according to flight schedule).
- Flight to Antananarivo, reception at Ivato Airport and transfer to the hotel.
- Dinner and overnight stay at the IC Hotel.
Day 11: Antananarivo / Ivato Airport
- Transfer to Ivato Airport (depending on flight schedule).
